Roseau, Dominica: Dominica Grammar School secured victory against Pierre Charles Secondary in the match of the Sports Division Secondary Schools Boys Basketball Championship on Tuesday.
Sports Division took to Facebook and shared glimpses of the match. It stated that one match was played in the Sports Division organized Secondary Schools Boys Basketball Championship. In a match played at the Massacre Indoor Facility, Dominica Grammar School defeated Pierre Charles Secondary School by 56-53.

- Yawani Regis 47 points
- Noah Joseph 7 points
For Pierre Charles Secondary School :
- Zack Bastien 40 points
- Arnan Bruno 5 points
The Sports Division of Dominica has been staging several matches on different sporting fields. Recently, the Secondary Schools U14 Netball Festival was held on Tuesday at The Windsor Park Forecourt From 2 pm, in which seven schools participated.
Castle Bruce Secondary School secured the top spot in the Round Robin Stage of the Secondary Schools U14 Netball Festival. The final stage of the festival will take place on Friday 5th, May at Benjamin’s Park.
Along with that, the sports division also kick-started the 2023 Schoolboys U15 Cricket Championship. In the match, the Dominica Grammar School and the St.Marys Academy will renew their rivalry as they meet in one of two matches to commence the 2023 Sports Division Secondary Schools Under 15 Cricket Championship. They will face each other from 10 am at the Botanic Gardens in Roseau.
Meanwhile, at Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth, the home team, Portsmouth Secondary School, will play host to the Castle Bruce Secondary School from 10 am. Besides this, the team of Dominica also participated in the recently held ALBA Games in Venezuela, in which they secured eight medals in total. As per the medal history of the country in ALBA, they have ended up with two gold medals and 1 Bronze medal in Domino.
Besides this, the boxing Championships have made Dominica secure one silver medal, while girls’ football ended up with bronze for the country. Dominica won three bronze Medals for Track and Field in ALBA.
