Roseau, Dominica: Dominica Grammar School won the match in the Secondary School Football competition against the Pierre Charles Secondary School by six goals.
Fourteen goals were scored in two games in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football competition in the U20 Division on Monday, 9th January 2023.
At the StockFarm Complex, the Dominica Grammar School were runaway winner by 6 goals to nil over the Pierre Charles Secondary School.
Scoring for Dominica Grammar School were Malachi Labad with 2 goals , Jahmo Talbert, Dale Xavier,Yawani Regis and Ajani Richards with 1 goal each.
Meanwhile, over in Portsmouth, the Portsmouth Secondary School were shocked by the North East Comprehensive School in the second half as they surrendered a 4 goal lead to the North East Comprehensive School in the U20 Division. They had to settle for a 4-4 draw as the North East Comprehensive School staged an impressive comeback.
Scorers for Portsmouth Secondary School were Omarion Brumant, Terry Gilbert, Jehiah Lewis and Tyler George. Ronny Lockhart with 2 goals Tyrese Carbon and Mervin Mingo one each gave North East Comprehensive a well deserved point.
It was Goals Galore Monday on 9th January 2023 in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Competition; some 35 goals were scored across three game in the U15 Division. In another match, Castle Bruce Secondary School secured victory against the Goodwill Secondary School by ten goals.
In Newtown the Castle Bruce Secondary School hammered the Goodwill Secondary School by 10 goals to 1. Alison Gasper score four goals, Kenneth Valmond got a hat trick, Taran George, Kimani Rodney and Edrickson Harris also scored 1 goal each for the CastleBruce Secondary School.
D’Andre Peltier scored the lone goal for the Goodwill Secondary School from the penalty spot. Over in Portsmouth, the Portsmouth Secondary School demolished the North East Comprehensive School by 16 goals to nil.
Scoring for Portsmouth Secondary school were Kassim Bethelmie 7 goals , Je’ Dyan Lockhart and Cliff Simon got a hat trick each, Ajanie Francois 2 and Jean-Luc Previlor 1.
While at StockFarm, also in the U15 Division the Dominica Grammar School was enjoying a good day. They punished the Pierre Charles Secondary by eight goals to nil.
Geovanni George and Jervonte Hamilton got a hat trick each, Dwight Eloi 1 and an own goal from a Pierre Charles Secondary school defender completed the scoring for Dominica Grammar School.
The last division in the Secondary Schools Football competition, the 13 and under boys football competition, begins on Tuesday, 10th January 2023 with two matches at the Newtown Savanna. At 2pm SMA vs CBSS and at 3:30pm PCSS vs DGS.
