Roseau, Dominica: Fenella Wenham- Parliamentary Representative for the Portsmouth constituency of the Commonwealth of Dominica invited the residents of Dos D’ane in the Community Meeting on Thursday, January 12, 2022. The meeting will be held at Dos D’ane Women’s Centre and stared at 6: 30 pm.
While inviting the citizens of the community, Fenella Wenham through her Facebook account cited,” Join Me this Thursday Dos D’ane Residents.” She stated that the meeting will be held with the purpose to create an interaction between the residents and their parliamentary representative. It is the community visit of Fenella Wenham in which she will highlight her developmental plans for the members of the community and its overall progress.
The community meeting will feature interactive interaction between the residents and their parliamentary representative and she requested everyone to join her in the meeting. The community meeting will serve as the perfect platform for the residents of Dos D’ane to outline the problems and difficulties they are facing in their daily lives.
Fenella Wenham asserted that she invited everyone to come up with their problems and be unhesitant and aware of their needs so that she could work on them. The meeting will also feature some discussions on the upcoming plans of Fenella Wenham for the community. She will discuss various programs and agendas which will be implemented in the coming days for the constituency and take the views of the residents on her plans.
She asserted that the cordial discussion will lead them to efficient results and make her know the ways of doing work for her constituency. The suggestions of the residents will be helpful in the efficient implementation of the developmental plans.
The meeting will also contain discussion with the young generation and women of the community to know their problems, and issues in their daily lives. She could also lay out the plans for the upliftment of the young generation of Dos D’ane and tell the women about their significant role in the overall development of Dominica.
The community meeting also aimed to generate commonality between the common people and their representatives so that they can easily disclose their problems and asked for solutions and efficient plans for their development. Such meetings could generate a healthy and friendly relationship between the politicians and common people so that people could ask them any question related to their progress.
The meetings of the representatives with their community will always create a healthy environment of politics and with the aim of generating so, Dominica Labour Party-led government worked day and night.
Parliamentary Representative for Portsmouth constituency- Fenella Wenham believes in a healthy interaction between her and the residents of her constituency. She always organized such meetings to hold a discussion with the members of her constituency in Dominica.
Earlier, she hosted a community meeting for the residents of Zicack and Chance in Dominica on January 5, 2023, to share their ideas for the development of the district. The meeting also provided the chance to the people to come out of their houses and share their views and ideas related to the development programmes of their respective representatives.
