Dominica: DSC performs well on day 1 of Secondary Schools U20 cricket championship 

Dominica State College is in control of the match on day one against the Castle Bruce Secondary School in the finals of the Secondary Schools U20 cricket championship on Thursday.

Roseau, Dominica: Dominica State College is in control of the match on day one against the Castle Bruce Secondary School in the finals of the Secondary Schools U20 cricket championship on Thursday. DSC secured 256 runs with seven wickets in the final match. 

Sports Division of Dominica took to Facebook, shared glimpses of the match and stated that the Dominica State College was in control after Day 1 of the Secondary Schools U20 Cricket Championship Final.

Prior to the start of the match, the young cricketers heard words of encouragement and well wishes from Sports Coordinator Trevor Shillingford, Member of Parliament for Portsmouth Fenella Wenham, and Minister with responsibility for Sports Oscar George.

The match was held at Benjamin’s Park, and the toss was won by Dominica State College. DSC made 256 runs on seven wickets, while CBSS 23 runs on six wickets till now. The 2nd and final day will commence at 10 AM on Friday.

Earlier, the Sports Division of Dominica also announced that the eight schools secured their place in the quarter-finals stage of the National Bank of Dominica Ltd Sports Division Primary Schools boys Division One Championship after the Intermediate Rounds.

Sports Division stated, “Eight Schools have qualified for the quarter-finals stage of the National Bank of Dominica Ltd Sports Division Primary Schools boys Division One Championship after the Intermediate Rounds.”
