
Roseau, Dominica: Dominica State College and Castle Bruce Secondary School advanced to the finals of the 2023 Sports Division Secondary Schools Under 20 Cricket Championship after winning the semi-final against Portsmouth Secondary School on Monday, March 13, 2023.
Sports Division of Dominica shared the update on the match and stated that the school’s Boys’ Cricket Results From Benjamin’s Park. Two players scored centuries as the defending champs, Dominica State College, booked a spot in the final.

MATCH: Portsmouth Secondary School vs Dominica State College
The match between the two schools was held at Benjamin’s Park of Dominica, where DSC won the toss and made the Portsmouth Secondary School all out at 75 runs.
Dominica State College set the target of 391 runs at four outs and PSS also secured the same run.

Solid batting by Kenneth Valmond and Aiden Burton piloted Castle Bruce Secondary into the final. In the Sports Division Secondary Schools U20 Cricket semi-final match between CBSS and the Pierre Charles Secondary School played at the Botanic Gardens today, CBSS won the toss and asked PCSS to take the first knock.
PCSS scored 149 all out, Annan Bruno 69 and Marlon Maxime 19. Bowling for CBSS, Elly Bernard 6 for 24 and Nayan Frederick 2 for 11.
In reply, CBSS made 181 all out, Kenneth Valmond 46, Aiden Burton 40, Elly Bernard 26 and Earsinho Fontaine 24. Bowling for PCSS Zack Bastien 6 for 38 and Marlon Maxime 3 for 29.
PCSS in their 2nd innings reached 54 for 5 at the end of the play, Marlon Maxime 16 and Zack Bastien 16. Bowling for CBSS Mayan Frederick 2 for 15 and Elly Bernard 2 for 25.
Match ended in a draw. CBSS won on 1st innings and secured a place in the final.
