Roseau, Dominica: Minister for Health, Wellness and New Health Investment of Dominica- Irving McIntyre, expressed pleasure in attending the Heritage Day 2022 in Trafalgar on October 26, 2022. He shared glimpses of Heritage Day and pre-independence day activities. 

Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica- Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, also attended Heritage Day 2022. 

Dr McIntyre stated that they had a mass of praise and thanksgiving and witnessed the arts and crafts of the locals. He also stressed encouraging local products, such as agro-processing products, fresh agricultural produce, horticulture, livestock, clothing and design, food and beverage and many more. 

He added that heritage Day 2022 in Trafalgar was truly an experience to be remembered. They had a mass of praise and thanksgiving followed by our extensive exhibition of valley products of Arts and crafts, agro-processing products, fresh agricultural produce, horticulture, livestock, clothing and design, food and beverage and many more.

The cultural gala from the afternoon till midnight was exciting and fun-filled. All acts lived up to the great expectations, and the public was well entertained….. Culture at its best, the heritage.

“Deepest thanks to the organizing committee and villagers for a job well done. We also thank the cultural division and local government department for their support. Wishing everyone an enjoyable Independence season and be safe, “said the health minister. 

Dr McIntyre also shared glimpses of the Roseau Valley Constituency when they had an exciting pre-Independence get-together. They took time off to celebrate the Culture with the Morne Prosper Jing Ping Band, having fun and sharing some love.

He noted that in spite of the hard times brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine; they are still standing strong.

Health Ministry stated that the progress continues on all fronts, from Housing to sporting facilities to road rehabilitation to geothermal works.

He stated, “God has truly blessed the Roseau Valley and Dominica. I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Independence season.”
