Roseau, Dominica: Castle Bruce Secondary School secured victory against North East Comprehensive School in the 2023 Sports Division Secondary Schools Under 15 Cricket Championship in Dominica. The match was held on Wednesday.

In the second match, the Sports Division Secondary Schools Under 15 cricket Championship continued yesterday with a match between the DGS and Goodwill Secondary School at the Botanic Gardens.

DGS 202 for 4 wkts declared, Akel Rolle 58 not out; bowling for GSS Henderson William’s 3 for 30. In reply GSS made 21all out, bowling for DGS Ellon Pascal 5 for 3 and Raj Alfred 2 for 1.

Batting a second time GSS made 42 all out. Bowling for DGS Ellon Pascal 4 for 10, Chance Marshall 3 for 0 and Kimron Peters 2 for 9.

DGS won by an innings and 139 runs.

After a delayed start, the 2023 Sports Division Secondary Schools Under 15 Cricket Championship was bowled off today at two venues from 10 am, the Botanic Gardens in Roseau and the Londonderry playing field also saw action on the opening day.

Dominica Grammar School and Goodwill Secondary School met at the Botanic Gardens. Home team North East Comprehensive School also played Castle Bruce Secondary School at Londonderry.

Sports Division of Dominica has organized such sporting events to polish the skills of the young sportsperson. Various games such as Netball, Volleyball, Basketball, Football and Cricket have been staged in the country.Â
