Dominica: Castle Bruce Secondary School wins U14 Netball Festival

Convent High School of Dominica won over PSS to take the 3rd place position. In the first semi-final game PSS went down to CBSS 6-8. In the semi-final number 2, CHS lost to PCSS 4 -7.

Roseau, Dominica: The Castle Bruce Secondary School defeated Pierre Charles Secondary School in the final of the Sports Division Secondary Schools U14 Netball Festival today at the Windsor Park Stadium forecourt to be crowned the new U14 Netball champs in Dominica. 

Convent High School of Dominica won over PSS to take the 3rd place position. In the first semi-final game PSS went down to CBSS 6-8. In the semi-final number 2, CHS lost to PCSS 4 -7.

PSS and CHS playes for the third place position; CHS winning 16-8. The final took place between the CBSS and the PCSS, CBSS won over PCSS 26-10. Scoring for CBSS were Dian Augustine 16/14 and Celina Winston- 16/12; for PCSS, scorers were Gaylisha Lockhart 10/8 and Nahalia John 4/2.

Sports Division of Dominica took to Facebook and stated that it was a Bumper Day For School Sports, Friday 5th. Secondary Schools Basketball U20 Semi Finals at Massacre and Benjamin’s Park from 3:30 pm. Secondary Schools U14 Netball Festival Final Round at the Windsor Park Stadium forecourt from 2 pm. Primary Schools Girls and Boys Semi Finals and 3rd place matches at Newtown and Benjamin’s Park respectively from 12 noon.

Sports Division of Dominica also hosted several other sporting events such as Basketball, Netball and Football. Recently, in the Basketball Championship, Portsmouth Secondary School Defeats Dominica State College. In a match played on Thursday in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Basketball Championship at Benajmins Park.

The girls from the Portsmouth Secondary School defeated the Dominica State College girls 54-30.

Portsmouth Secondary School Continues To Dominate in Schoolgirls Basketball. PSS went undefeated in the Sports Division Secondary Schools U20 Girls Basketball Championship. In the final match of the Round Robin PSS defeated DGS 64 -13.
