Dominica announces new COVID-19 guidelines for travellers

Ministry for Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives has amended the protocols for entry into the Commonwealth of Dominica on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. The Cabinet of Dominica has approved the various protocols due to the COVID-19 for the travellers.

Ministry for Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives has amended the protocols for entry into the Commonwealth of Dominica on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. The Cabinet of Dominica has approved the various protocols due to the COVID-19 for the travellers. 

As per the ministry for Tourism, visitors have to follow the following guidelines while taking entry into the Caribbean nation: 

  • All the travellers have to complete a health questionnaire online prior to arrival in Dominica at the official site of the country. 
  • The travellers could also fill out the form on arrival in Dominica if they find any difficulty. 
  • The travellers have to show the negative report of the PCR test within 72 hours prior to arrival and have to upload it on the site. Moreover, they have to undergo negative tests of the Rapid Antigen before their travelling. 
  • The visitors have also need to upload the vaccination certificate o the site. 

Further, the Minister has also uploaded various guidelines for the fully vaccinated travellers

  • Moreover, the fully vaccinated travellers have to present the confirmation of a complete health questionnaire. 
  • Fully vaccinated travellers also have to undergo the negative test PCR test result or the Rapid Antigen Test results. 
  • If the test is validated, the traveller will be deemed medically. 
  • In case the test is not validated, travellers will be required to have a Rapid Antigen test at the airport. Upon receiving a negative test result, the traveller will be deemed medically fit. 
  • If the vaccination certificate is not validated, protocols for non-vaccinated travellers will apply. 
  • Travellers shall be transformed to Immigration for processing and customs for screening. 
  • The revised protocols will be applied to the vaccinated travellers to Dominica by air and sea. 
  • All other protocols for un-vaccinated travellers remain unchanged. 

Dominica reports 38 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 and 57 COVID-19 related deaths.
