St Kitts and Nevis: Gabriella Brantley, a daughter of Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley, organized the Nevis Youth Careers Expo- NYCE on Friday, March 25, 2022. The NYCE was also co-directed by Jahnel Nisbett, director of Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS).
Nisbett further outlined the significance of the Nevis Youth Careers Expo and also expressed happiness to co-directed the event.

While expressing pleasure, she noted, “I love it when life comes full circle.
It feels like just yesterday that I walked into my first class and met the young Ms. Brantley in 1st form. It feels like just yesterday that I recruited her to try out for Nevis’ debating while she was only in 4th form, although back then, it was reserved for 6th formers. It feels like yesterday that as Chief Staff Sponsor the following year, I helped lead her and the rest of the team to victory”.
She further emphasized that when the young Ms. Gabriella Brantley reached out and said she had this project that she would like her to help her execute, saying no was never an option. As full as my plate may have been, fueled by proud parent sentiments, she agreed to co-direct the Nevis Youth Careers Expo -NYCE.

Steering upon the success of the project, Nishbett said, “She was happy to report that the event was a resounding success! While Gabriella is off at school and thus could not be on the ground to see her brainchild in action, it was indeed a team effort to make it happen! Ten million calls, emails, and Whatsapp messages later produced that NYCE landmark event witnessed yesterday.
Extending gratitude to various partners, she reaffirmed, “I also definitely have to mention Dárç Browne, a core team member from its inception who provided invaluable support while also juggling university. We also simply could not have done it without other team members, including Christopher Kc Clarke Erin Browne Nykeisha Henry Shekarnah Thomas , Wangechi Powell, Cheslin Maloney (who I randomly recruited to come assist on the day, which he did with no hesitation), Jakeeda Thomas, Tyreek Evelyn Catharine Wilkinson ZidanWilkin. Having taught a good half of the bunch, I couldn’t be more proud of how they have grown and the positive work that they are doing”.
A major thank you must also go out to our schools and students for attending; the over 40+ business/institutions who came out and represented; our partners and 15 sponsors! Without you, none of it would be possible, she further added.
