Cuba shows solidarity with Palestinian people fronting Israeli belligerence

Yesterday, on 15 May, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean nation – Minrex had issued a statement rejecting the assault on the Al Aqsa mosque in occupied Jerusalem, as well as the bombings in Gaza.

The statement, states, “Such actions compose another grave and blatant violation of the Charter of the United Nations- UN, international and humanitarian law and also pointed out that Israel acts with the exception due to the complicity of the United States- US, a nation that prevents the action of the United Nations Security Council- UNSC.”

“Cuba makes an active call to the international community – to all the countries, the United Nations, especially its Security Council, to demand the immediate suspension of Israeli aggression.”

Bruno Rodríguez – Cuban Foreign Minister, condemned via social media the destruction of the international media headquarters in the Palestinian territory of Gaza by the army of Israel.

Meantime, the Cuban Movement for Peace and the Sovereignty of the Peoples endorsed its support for the Arab people and directed an end to the bombings and attacks in the nation, because of which almost 140 people have died, which includes- children, according to reports from the Palestinian health ministry.

Cuban President – Miguel Díaz Canel stated, “The Zionist barbarism and the cover of impunity that the US spreads over these crimes with its support for the Israeli government has insulted the world.”

Akram Samhan- Ambassador of the Arab nation in Havana, acknowledged this and thanked the gestures of solidarity of Cuba, at the same time that he condemned the Israeli attacks in Gaza as the destruction of international law.
