Patricia Scotland- sixth and first lady Secretary General of the Commonwealth, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from OP Jindal Global University in Delhi. She expressed pleasure to be back in India and extended gratitude to the University for the award.
Patricia Scotland also addressed the students of the University at their graduation. She encouraged them and wished them for their future endeavours.
CSG Scotland took to social media and added, “What an honour to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from O.P. Jindal Global University in #Delhi in front of some of # India’s best & brightest #youth at their graduation.”
She added that she is very happy to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in front of some of the best and brightest youth of India at their graduation.

Patricia Scotland underlined that she is no different to them, and if she can do, then those students can also do it. She remarked, “I say to the young and aspiring in our #Commonwealth family, I am no different to you; if I can do it, you can too.”
While encouraging the youth, Patricia Scotland noted that she felt honoured to meet the students.
She also expressed pleasure to be back in India and added that the country holds a much-valued place in the Commonwealth. Scotland underlined that she looks forward to important discussions with Ministers and other high-level officials on issues facing the family of the Commonwealth.
She added that she is eagerly looking forward to working together with India to ease shared challenges.
