Caribbean: Patricia Scotland- who is the sixth and first lady Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, attended the celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II on Friday, June 3, 2022.
She attended the Platinum Jubliee of Queen Elizabeth and its celebration reception last night at Coutts Bank.
After serving around 70 years on the throne, Queen Elizabeth is celebrating her Platinum Jubliee, where various leaders across the globe celebrated.
Patricia Scotland was also among them, and through her social media, she posted a glimpse of the celebrations. She took to Twitter and tweeted, “Delighted to attend the Platinum Jubliee Beacons celebration reception last night at Coutts Bank, as over 3,000 beacons were lit across the United Kingdom and the #Commonwealth to celebrate HM The Queen’s 70 years of service.”
While applauding Queen Elizabeth, Patricia Scotland stated that she offered a unique and valuable opportunity for everyone to express their gratitude for her unparalleled service.”
Further, she also welcomed Jule Zolayinka and interviewed them on Channel TV, where Scotland expressed pleasure in attending the celebration and also shared her vision for the top position of the Commonwealth.
Patricia Scotland also outlined the significance of the celebration for her 70 years reign across the Commonwealth as well as the Commonwealth Games and CHOGM 2022.
She stated, “Delighted to welcome channel TV and Jule Zolayinka to Marlborough House. Discussed The Queen’s Platinum Jubliee and the significance of celebrating her 70yr reign across the Commonwealth, as well as #Commonwealth Games & #CHOGM2022 – the 1st to be held in #Africa in over a decade.”
