CPL 2022: The 10th edition of the Hero Caribbean Premier League 2022 received the two teams for the final match after the second qualifier match was secured by Jamaica Tallawahs against Guyana Amazon Warriors. The first qualifier match was won by Barbados Royals, which led Tallawahs and Royals to lock horns in the final of the CPL 2022 on Friday.

On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, the match was held at Providence Stadium, Guyana.

Firstly, the Warriors won the coin toss and opted to field first, which was a bad decision for the team. When Jamaica Tallawahs came to bat with the opening batsman Brandon King and Kennar Lewis, they faced Romario Shepherd of the Warriors.

With some nice starting, Rovman Powell and Shamarh Brooks took the score of the Tallawahs to 30 runs after the end of the five overs with two losses of the wicket. After the end of the 12 overs, Tallawahs stood at 100 runs with Brooks on 46 and Raymon Reifer on six runs.

During the 17 overs, the Tallawahs gave a good touch to the innings and made 160 runs in two outs. The Jamaica Tallawahs emerged as the first team in the journey of the CPL 2022, who made more than 200 runs.

The Jamaica Tallawahs made a total of 226 runs with four wickets in the 20 overs.

On the other hand, the Warriors witnessed a good starting and made seven runs in the first over. While pacing their game, Jamaica Taklawahs came back with Fabian Allen as he took the wicket of Gurbaz during the six overs.

During the 11 overs, the Amazon Warriors stood at 96 runs with the loss of four wickets. The Warriors managed to make only 189 runs in the 20 overs and lost the match.

With this loss, Guyana Amazon Warriors were kicked out of the race for the finals, and CPL received two teams for the final match. Now, the Barbados Royals, who remained champion in this year’s tournament after securing the top spot in the points table and Jamaica Tallawahs, will face each other to lift the CPL 2022.Â
