CPL 2022: St Kitts and Nevis Patriots beats Trinbago Knight Riders by seven runs

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots knocked out Trinbago Knight Riders in the 26 match of the Hero Caribbean Premier League T20 202 and secured the first match in the Providence Stadium, Guyana.

CPL 2022: St Kitts and Nevis Patriots knocked out Trinbago Knight Riders in the 26 match of the Hero Caribbean Premier League T20 202 and secured the first match in the Providence Stadium, Guyana. 

 

The Patriots won the match by seven runs. Firstly, the Patriots won the toss and chose to bat first, which worked well for the team. 

 

When the Patriots come to bat, Lewis and Andre Fletcher gave good innings to the team. However. Akeal Hosein from Trinbago Knight Riders played a good over after getting a wicket and give only just three runs in the over. After the seven overs get finished, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots stood at 23 with two outs.

 

They further give a slow pace to the game as they did even not get six runs in most of the overs. A massive six was witnessed in the 10th overs when St Kitts and Nevis Patriots stood at 43 and their two wickets were down.

 

With the partnership of 50 runs, Bravo and Rutherford emerged with 39 deliveries and at the end of the 15 overs, the Patriots stood at 80 runs with three outs. Patriots stood at 42 runs after the nine overs in four outs. Dewald Brevis made 30 runs in the six balls which led them to finish the match with the score of 163 in six wickets down.

 

While making a slow start, Knight Riders come to bat o chase the target of 164. They stood at 47 runs at the end of the eight overs after their two-wicket down. With the disciplined and exceptional bowling from Patriots, Knight Riders were restricted to 108 runs in the 16 oves. They need 56 runs in the 24 balls.

 

After the 18 overs get finished, Knight Riders made the 130 runs in the four outs. In the final over, the Knight Riders were at 148 runs with five outs and were unable to chase the target. They eventually lot the match against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
