CPL 2022: Saint Lucia Kings won the straight second victory in the 23rd match of the Caribbean Premier League 2022 T20 against the Trinbago Knight Riders. Kings secured the first victory in the 21st match of the CPL 2022 against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. 

Firstly, Trinbago Knight Riders won the toss and chose to field first, but the decision backfired after the half-century by Johnson Charles made the Kings start with great innings. 

With the five over finished, Saint Lucia Kings stood at 34 runs with one wicket down. With an amazing 33 of 14 balls from David Wiese led the Kings to set the tough target of 148 runs. 

During the starting of the innings for Trinbago Knight Riders, they faced complications after losing three wickets inside the PowerPlay. However, Charles and Dickwells made a partnership of 50 runs which still did not make it to secure the target. 

With the file in the PowerPlay, Kings made exceptional runs which led to victory. David Wiese emerged with excellent counterattack innings, which helped the Kings to set the target of 148 by making 147 runs. 

Saint Lucia Kings gave a target of 148 to Trinbago Knight Riders and won the match by one run. This was the last match played in Trinidad and Tobago. 

With the good matches and winning, both the teams secured a good spot in the score table, which led them to move to Guyana to play in the race for the playoffs.

Caribbean Premier League 2022, which was started on August 31, 2022, will be concluded on September 30, 2022. The first seven were played in St Kitts and Nevis. Saint Lucia hosted the other eight matches of the tournament in Gros Islet. Now, the eight matches have been witnessed by Trinidad and Tobago. 

Finals and playoffs will be played in Guyana, which will be started on September 21, 2022.Â
