CPL 2022: Saint Lucia Kings registered a big win against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 15th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2022 held in Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet. They defeated the patriots by 61 runs and secured a much-needed second victory in the tournament.
Faf Du Plessis turned out to be a great performer for the Kings as they scored 60 runs in 35 balls. While batting first in the field, Kings makes the run of 161 and sets the target of 162.
Further, the disciplined and exceptional bowling of the Royals has restricted the Patriots to just 100 runs. Mathew Forde and David Wisese took three wickets each for the winners.
With the spectacular winning, Saint Lucia Kings jumped to the third position with four points from six matches. Saint Lucia Kings has played six matches so far and won two matches in the tournament.
On the other hand, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have slipped to number fourth. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have played six matches so far and won the only game in the tournament. However, the two of their matches did not produce any result.
In the points table, Barbados Ryals stood at the top after winning five straight matches of the tournament. Further, Jamaica Tallawahs stood at the second position in the points table after winning four out of the five matches of the Caribbean Premier League 2022.
Saint Lucia Kings stood in the third position in the points table, and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots stood in the fourth position.
Caribbean Premier League 2022 started on August 31, 2022, with the first match held between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Jamaica Tallawahs. So far, a total of 15 matches of cricket has been held at the different stadium in the Caribbean countries.
The first seven matches of the CPL were held in St Kitts and Nevis, while the other eight matches were held in Saint Lucia.
