CPL 2022: Jamaica Tallawahs returns with victory against Knight Riders, stands at 2nd position 

Jamaica Tallawahs made a great comeback after registering a victory against the Trinbago Knight Riders in the 12th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2022. Knight Riders faced defeat with 34 runs at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia.

CPL 2022: Jamaica Tallawahs made a great comeback after registering a victory against the Trinbago Knight Riders in the 12th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2022. Knight Riders faced defeat with 34 runs at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia. 

While facing a second straight defeat, Riders were restricted to 119 for eight by the disciplined and exceptional bowling of Tallawahs. With the half-century from captain Rovman Powell of 67 runs and ten boundaries, Tallawahs recovered from the loss of two early wickets. 

Powell played a great term, and his 90-run partnership with Raymon Reifer led them to set the target of 154 for Knight Riders. He gives four sixes to the team. 

Sunil Narine of TKR bowled great and took the wicket of both Powell and Fabina Aleen, and restricted the scoring in the final overs. 

With the great victory, Tallawahs attained second place with six points after winning four matches in the tournament, and first place was attained by Barbados Royals. 

As per the pointing list, Barbados Royals stood at the top; on the other hand, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Trinbago Knight Riders and Saint Lucia Kings got out of the top five. 

Jamaica Tallawahs made the run of 153 in seven wickets. In the final scores, Rovman Powell made 67runs, and Raymon Reifer made 28 runs. On the other hand, Trinbago Knight Riders were restricted to 119 with eight wickets. 

Caribbean Premier League started on August 31, 2022, with the first match between Jamaica Tallawahs and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. They achieved their first victory in the first match of the month-long tournament.  

The matches are now taking place in Saint Lucia as the earlier seven matches were held in Warner Park, St Kitts and Nevis. 

Further, eight matches will be played in Trinidad and Tobago, and the finals will be played in Guyana
