CPL 2022: Jamaica Tallawahs won the eliminator match against the Saint Lucia Kings and secured their place in qualifier 2 of the tournament of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022. The match took place on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
While coming back to the game, Jamaica Tallawahs won the match against the Kings by 33 runs. After winning the coin toss, Kings chose to bowl first, but the decision went out bad for the team.
Jamaica Tallawahs has not faced good starting and made ten runs in the first over. After the Kings took the first wicket of Tallawahs, the team stood at 18 runs.
After the finishing of the five overs, the team stood at 20 runs with one loss of the wicket. During the fifth over, Mathew Forde of the Kings took the wicket of Kennar Lewis and limited the Tallawahs to 21 runs in the two out. The powerplay for Tallawahs with the disciplined and exceptional bowling gets limited to 29 runs with two outs.
The starting by the Kings for the Tallwahas did not remain constant after the Tallawahs paced up their game. At the end of the twelfth over, Raymon Reifer and Sharmarh Brooks gave a good partnership with a maximum towards mid-off the bowling of chase, and the Tallawahs stood at 73-3 off 12.
The Tallawahs gave a good finish to their innings with the good batting from Nabi and made 148 runs, and set the target of 149 for the Kings with eight overs in 20 overs.
When Saint Lucia Kings came to bat with Faf and Charles, the bowling from Tallawahs remained good. Further, Tallawahs won by 33 runs after the Kings scored 115 runs in the 18 overs and got all out.
Caribbean Premier League 2022 started on August 31, 2022, and now reached its finished spot. Guyana hosts the first two playoffs, and Jamaica Tallawahs won the match and secured the place in qualifier 2 of the season.
