CPL 2022: Guyana Amazon Warriors reaches second position, TKR eliminated from playoffs 

The warriors finished the match by securing seven points in the points table out of the ten matches and reached the second position. On the other hand, the most successful team of CPL lost the chance to play in the finals with huge defeats this year.

CPL 2022: In the 28th match of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2022), Guyana Amazon Warriors won against Trinbago Knight Riders by 37 runs at the Providence Stadium. With the win, the Warriors kicked out TKR from the points table as they were not managed to make their spot in the playoffs. 

The warriors finished the match by securing seven points in the points table out of the ten matches and reached the second position. On the other hand, the most successful team of CPL lost the chance to play in the finals with huge defeats this year. 

While securing three straight victories on their homeland, Guyana Amazon Warriors played the innings of 173 runs after losing six wickets. They set the target of 174 for Trinbago Knight Riders

Rahmanullah Gurbaz came to bat first, gave an excellent start to his team, and made his second straight half-century with six sixes in 42 balls. The man of the match Shakib Al Hasan, supported Gurbas, and their partnership led them to set the target. He made 35 runs in 25 balls with four fours and one six. 

On the other hand, Odean Smith ad captain Shimro Hetmyer of the Warriors also played good innings and made 22 runs and 23 runs, respectively. Further, Sunil Narine took two wickets for Trinbago Knight Riders. 

After the TKR came to bat, they didn’t give a good start to the innings. They managed to play the innings of 136 when Shaaron Lewis (one) got one from Junior Sinclair to Hetmyer at long-on.

Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022 has reached its finals as all the scheduled matches have been completed. The matches were hosted by St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. Mow the finals and playoffs will be taken place in Guyana. 

As per the points table, Barbados Royals retained their position on the first spot, and Guyana Amazon Warriors joined the league and secured the second spot. Further, Saint Lucia and Jamaica Tallwahs stood at third and fourth positions, respectively.
