CPL 2022: The Barbados Royals defeated the Jamaica Tallawahs in the 14th match of the 2022 Hero Caribbean Premier League T20 series by eight wickets. While playing exceptionally well in the tournament, the Royals registered their fifth straight victory and stood at the top of the scoreboard.
Firstly, the royals won the toss and chose to field, which turned out to be a good decision for the team. They dismissed Jamaica opener, Brandon King with their exceptional and disciplined bowling.
However, captain Rovman Powell scored the second consecutive half-century for Tallawahs. Very fast bowler from Royals, Obed McCoy, turned out to be great for the team as he took three wickets at the 24 runs of Tallawahs.
Further, on the batting turn of Royals, the 117-run partnership of Quinton de Kock and Bosch frustrated Tallawahs’ bowlers.
As per the scores, Jamaica Tallawahs set the target of 157 with eight wickets in 20 overs. IN the match, Rovamn Powell made 52 runs, Raymon Reiffer made 41 runs.
On the other hand, Barbados Royals chased the target of 157 in 19.5 overs, and Jamaica Tallawahs managed to take the wicket of two players of Royals.
Players named Quniton de Knock played the term of 64 runs after remaining not out, and Corbin Bosch made 56 runs.
Caribbean Premier League 2022 started on August 31, 2022, and will be concluded on September 30, 2022. The month-long tournament has witnessed the commencement of 15 matches.
On the scoreboard, Barbados Royals stood at the top position as they had not experienced any defeat. Barbados Royals has played five matches in the tournament so far and registered victory in every match.
