CPL 2022: Amazon Warriors beats Barbados Royals, secures place in playoffs 

In their homeland, the Warriors played well and beat Royals by five wickets in the Providence Stadium. However, both the teams made their place in the first qualifier as Royals stood at the first position in the points table.

CPL 2022: Guyana Amazon Warriors secured a fourth straight victory against the Barbados Royals in the last match before the playoffs of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022. With this win, the Warriors secured the second position in the playoffs.  

In their homeland, the Warriors played well and beat Royals by five wickets in the Providence Stadium. However, both the teams made their place in the first qualifier as Royals stood at the first position in the points table. 

Firstly, The Warriors won the toss and chose to field first, which turned out to be a good decision for them. While giving a good starting to the innings, the teams took the first wicket of the captain Kyle Mayers of Royals in the first over. Further, in the second over, Rahkeen Cornwell faced loss after his catch was caught by Gudekesh Motie of Warriors. 

After the finishing of the six overs, Barbados Royals stood at 31 runs with three wickets down. During the 11 overs, Azam Khan of Royals lost his wicket, and the score table for them was to stand at 59 runs with four wickets. 

During the 11 overs again, the Royals faced another wicket after Devon Thomas tried to play a six and got caught. The score table for the Royals stood at 77 runs in the 13 overs with six outs. 

With all these losses, Barbados Royals managed to score 125 runs and set the target of 126 for the Warriors

However, there was no good starting for the Warriors when they came to bat as they lost their first wicket of Chadrapual Hemraj in the first over. He got out on the one run. During the four overs, Guyana Amazon Warriors stood at 18 runs with two outs. 

With the completion of the ten over, the score table for the Warriors was looking like 94 runs with two outs. 

Still, the Warriors managed to reach 107 runs during the 12 over with fur wicket down. The result of the match was declared during the 15 overs after the Warriors won the match by five wickets. After winning all four matches in their hometown, they will again face the Royals on Tuesday in the playoffs.
