CPL 2021: Jamaica Tallawahs fabricates historic win over St Lucia Kings, while Trinbago managed to get back on track

Jamaica Tallawahs had a tremendous win over the St Lucia Kings with 120 runs. With a brilliant performance, Tallawahs scored 255/5 in 20 overs while Kings only managed to score 135 and got off all the wickets in 17.3 overs on Friday.

Andre Russell unleashed destruction, hitting a 14-ball half-century – the fastest in the history of CPL, taking the Jamaica Tallawahs towards the win. Put into bat; Jamaica was off to a thunderbolt start, recognition to Kennar Lewis, who scored 48 in 22 balls with five massive sixes.

On the other hand, Chadwick Walton scored 47 runs, Haider Ali – (45) and Rovman Powell – (38) also provided significant contributions to the win.

While in the second match of Friday’s was between Trinbago Knight Riders vs Barbados Royals, where after losing their first match, Riders won over Royals. The Royals just managed to make 122 runs, losing all the wickets in 19.2 overs, and with their excellent performance, the Riders completed their target of 125 within 16.5 overs.

With the win of their first match of the tournament, Riders’ Captain – Kieron Pollard passes 2000 runs in CPL. The phenomenal bowling by Isuru Udana made his team win the match against the Royals; he took five wickets while giving only 21 runs to the opponent.

Trinbago is all back to the track with its win in yesterday’s match. The fans are all happy to see their team winning by making history too. The craze among the people of the cricket is insane.
