COVID-19 outbreak: Trinidad and Tobago logs 338 new cases

On the festive occasion of the new year, Trinidad and Tobago is recording a surge of the Covid-19 pandemic. On the fourth day of the new year, a total of 338 people have diagnosed with the deadly virus.

According to the latest report of Covid-19 shared by the health ministry, a country has recorded a  total of 1,098 confirmed cases in the first three days of 2022.
On the other hand, 22 people have succumbed to the virus between Sunday and Monday. It further brings the death toll of the country to  2936.k
Out of the recent deaths, 12 were males who died due to deadly virus, while ten females died.
According to the reports, the active cases of Trinidad and Tobago mount to  15,183.
Since the pandemic has emerged in the country, a total of 92,997 individuals have been infected with the contagious mutant. Out of these cases, 74,878 people have been safely rescued from the viral infection.
For now, a total of 462 patients are still getting treated and staying in hospital facilities.
Moreover, 47 people are following the protocol of Covid-19 and isolated at the state quarantine facilities. At the same time, a total of I4,213 people are following the protocol procedure at their respective residences.
A total o4f 663,843 individuals are vaccinated by taking their first jab of a vaccine against the COVID-19 pandemic. The people are partially immunised. On the other hand, the number of fully immunised people with the required number of doses of WHO approved Covid-19 vaccine is 668,982.
The number of people who have received their additional primary dose is 76,479.
Further, both private and public healthcare facilities have conducted a total of 512,730 tests. Out of which, the private healthcare facilities have conducted 225,721 tests of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Trinidad and Tobago have received a surge of Covid-19 these days. Moreover, Health Minister Terrence Deyal Singh has warned the residents that the country can see the rise of the Omicron variant. So authorities have asked people to get ready to fight against the new variant.
