Castries, Saint Lucia: The Commonwealth Games Federation has invited the application scholarship opportunities for the World Academy of Sport’s (WAoS) Postgraduate Certificate, International Sports Management, developed and delivered in conjunction with the University of London.
The applicants were asked to send their applications to Saint Lucia Football Association.
The Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) programme is a globally-recognised, academically rigorous and industry-focused qualification which has been collaboratively developed by the University of London and the World Academy of Sport.
The opportunity aimed to uplift the spirit of sports and gave chance to students who want a career in sports.
The fully online, self-paced certificate, allows students to complete the course between one and five years. The 60 credits obtained from the completion of the certificate is a globally recognised qualification that can be further applied to a Master’s degree for those students who want to continue their studies to the next level.
The certificate requires that students complete 4 modules – two of which are core and two others from the elective options.
•Core: Strategy, Leadership and Governance in Sport / Financial Management in Sport
Elective: Sports Marketing, Sponsorship and Media / Sports Event Management /
Sports Entrepreneurship / Sport Development, Facilities and Participation
In order to be eligible to receive the scholarship for the Postgraduate Certificate International
Sports Management (PG Cert), applicants should:
• Have an existing undergraduate degree (eg bachelor) or a minimum of 5 years of
relevant work experience and professional references.
• Access to a computer and internet.
The deadline for submission of applications is Wednesday, 7th December, 2022.
