On October 9 2021, for Commonwealth Games 2022, the Queen’s Baton Relay would be starting its journey of 90,000 miles in Cyprus.

Yesterday the organizing committee of Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 public the baton relay schedule.

On March 23 2022, Belize would be the first Caribbean country to receive the Queen’s Baton during the baton relay schedule.

According to the baton’s relay schedule, many other Caribbean countries would be coming in between, which includes Caribbean Commonwealth member states like The Bahamas, Guyana, Turks and Caicos, Trinidad and Tobago and the Cayman Islands.

As per the decided schedule, the relay will continue throughout the Caribbean, that will ends in Bermuda and will last two months. After leaving the Caribbean, the baton would be then heading towards the area of Canada, where it is scheduled to spend four days before travelling to the UK’s southern-European territory of Gibraltar.

England will be receiving the baton on the decided date of July 4, and it will journey around the kingdom until the opening ceremony of Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 on July 28.

With 11 days of swimming and diving, eight days of cricket, eight days of gymnastics and seven days of athletics, including the marathon, the summer of 2022 is all set for a spectacular home Games.

The Birmingham 2022 competition schedule will be featuring more medal events for women than men. This would be for the first time in Commonwealth Games history. This time Commonwealth games season is coming inclusive of a fully integrated para-sport programme.

Tickets start from £8 for those under 16s and £15 for adults. There are also £22 tickets for every session of the Games, including medal sessions, and for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
