Trinidad and Tobago: A tropical wave across the lesser Antilles is expected to produce instability, with partly cloudy to cloudy periods, over Trinidad and Tobago. Light or moderate showers in varying areas.

There is a medium chance (60%) for isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms, from early morning. Some abatement during the evening, but as late night approaches, the probability for thunderstorm activity increases again. Winds initially from the east but veering (rotating in a clockwise direction) to the southeast or south-southeast by late morning.

𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 (𝟐𝟎𝐭𝐡)
Trailing convergence and instability, associated with the passage of the axis of the recent tropical wave, will approach and cross Trinidad and Tobago from the south-southeast. Partly cloudy to at times cloudy conditions from early morning to afternoon.

There is a medium to high chance (60%-80%) for heavy showers or thunderstorms. Settled to fair conditions from late afternoon. Winds from the south-southeast backing (rotating in a counterclockwise direction) to east-southeast by evening.

Mostly fair and sunny conditions. Brief showers in a few areas.
With winds still coming generally from south east, together with daytime heating and local dynamics, there is still a low risk (20%-30%) for a late morning or early afternoon heavy shower or isolated thunderstorm, favouring western Trinidad and hilly areas.

Mostly fair evening and night. Winds mainly from southeast during the day and backing to generally easterly during the night.

Mostly fair and sunny day. Brief showers in a few areas. Partly cloudy patches during the late morning, afternoon and evening.

Daytime heating and local dynamics will facilitate a low risk (20%-30%) for an afternoon heavy shower or isolated thunderstorm, favouring western Trinidad or hilly areas. Fair evening and night with brief showers in a few areas. Winds generally from east-southeast to southeast.

Some low level convergence associated with the ITCZ could produce partly cloudy to cloudy patches, mainly during the early morning to early afternoon. Brief light or moderate showers in a few areas.

Low risk (30%) for a heavy shower or isolated thunderstorm near hilly areas. Mostly fair evening and night. Winds generally easterly for most of the day.

In the event of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, winds can become gusty and street or flash flooding is likely in the vicinity. With the occurrence of prolonged precipitation, the risk of land slips or landslides becomes elevated.
