The US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has listed 22 nations and territories to its highest travel risk category slab, "Level Four: Very High," due to the currently prevailing spike in Omicron-new variant COVID-19 cases.
CDC warns people to "Do Not Travel" to Caribbean and other regions amid COVID-19
The US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has listed 22 nations and territories to its highest travel risk category slab, “Level Four: Very High,” due to the currently prevailing spike in Omicron-new variant COVID-19 cases. Of the nations that have been listed, CDC is warning American travellers to avoid travelling to Israel, Australia, Panama, Bolivia, Qatar and Bermuda.
The list further includes the names of several numbers of Caribbean nations as well that have been listed under the slab of Level 4 category. The list involves-
The CDC has enlisted over 100 nations and territories at Level 4 due to the recent surge caused by the Omicron-new variant of COVID-19, including numerous popular countries of the European region consisting, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.
The agency works in the manner like it only covers any nation under the slab of Level 4 categorization when over 500 COVID-19 positive cases per 100,000 residents are reported in the last 28 days. As per the safety guidelines shared on the CDC website, if one is planning to make travel towards any of the Level 4 countries, one must ensure that they are completely vaccinated to protect oneself.
The CDC has enlisted 20 nations into the Level 3: High-Risk nations. The list consists of the countries-
The CDC aware people those who have not yet received their vaccination dose should negate any nonessential travel to destinations categorized under the Level 3 slab.
The US State Department has also changed the already imposed travel protocols this week, adding 25 nations to the “Level 4: Do Not Travel” slab. The State Department’s advisories typically showcase those of the CDC, and several of the nations the CDC added to its high-risk category has also received a new warning.
