Nevis: In order to pay tribute to the mothers of the Federation, Concerned Citizens Movement led Nevis Island Administration has decided to present a mothers’ day cocktail on May 8, 2022.
The cocktail party will be dedicated to all the mothers of Nevis. It will be held at Malcolm Gusihard Recreational Park on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
The dress code will be elegantly casual. The event will be started at around 5:00 PM.
With the musical entertainment, the CCM will make the event impressive.
International Mother’s Day is celebrated every year on May 8, 2022. The day is dedicated to mothers across the globe. It outlined the sacrifices, lives and struggles of the mother from the day her child is born; she just started live for her child.
It was in the United States in 1908 that mother’s day was first celebrated. The day was initiated by a woman named Anna Jarvis, who wished to honour her mother and declared the day mother’s day.
Anna Resse Jarvis was a peace activist who worked for the betterment of society.
On the auspicious occasion of Mother’s Day, everyone, especially children, celebrates in honour of their mothers. They usually give their mothers warm gifts, throw parties and celebrate the day by showering love, respect and happiness.
Nevis Island Administration also decided to mark the day for all the women of the country. CCM stated, “We appreciate you”, in honour of mothers.
