Cayman: Cayman Airways will launch direct flights to Barbados this winter. The twice-weekly Barbados flight is all set to launch on October 18, 2023.

The schedule of the new flights with new routes has also been announced.

Tourism Minister Kenneth Bryan- with Cayman Airways representatives, as well as Barbados Tourism Minister Ian Gooding-Edghill via Zoom, said that it will enhance the connectivity of the airways with other regional and international gateways.

He also announced a second weekly flight to Los Angeles as Cayman’s national airline continues to broaden its horizons. Bryan said that the service will work as a game changer as it would open up travel between Cayman and the eastern Caribbean.

July 24, 2023) marks a significant milestone for the Caribbean as Cayman Airways Ltd. (CAL), in collaboration with the governments of the Cayman Islands and Barbados announced the introduction of a new route connecting the two countries.
This new flight is expected to enhance regional connectivity, and Cayman Airways is currently working with the relevant regulatory and operational support agencies to ensure the required approvals for the operation of the flights.
The scheduled start date is therefore tentative at this point, and subject to change, but the airline is aiming to launch in mid-October, and everything is expected to be in place for tickets to go on sale in early August.

Further, the price of the tickets for the new route was not disclosed yet.
