Voters in the Bahamas ousted Prime Minister Hubert Minnis in a quick election on Thursday as the economy was crumbling to recover from its deepest crash since at least 1971.
Till 28 August 2021, a total of 91,967 individuals have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on the Bahamas island. The data further states that a total of 57,593 individuals are fully vaccinated now.Â
So far, as of 21 August 2021, a total of 76,174 individuals have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on the Bahamas island. The data further states that a total of 55,291 individuals are fully vaccinated now.Â
Prime Minister Hubert Minnis, during his address on 22 August 2021, noted that so far, 129,017 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Bahamas, while 55,291 Bahamians are fully vaccinated.
The government of Bahamas has announced elections prior eight months of the actual date. The Prime Minister of the Bahamas - Dr Hubert Minnis, has announced that he has advised the Governor-General to issue the 'writs of election', which would be held on Thursday 16 September 2021.
