Caribbean: Caribbean Youth Awards 2023 is all set to return to honour the outstanding achievements of young minds. The nominations are open for the submission of names for ten categories, focusing on different fields. 

The deadline for the submission of the nomination is Monday, October 30, 2023, at 11: 59 pm AST. The staging of the award ceremony is aimed at celebrating the outstanding individuals and organisations who demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation. 

The youth awards will also recognise these individuals’ advocacy and exceptional work in empowering the Caribbean youth. 

Award Categories

  1. Top 10 Youth of the Year Finalist Award
  2. Most Improved NYC Award
  3. Most Effective & Impactful NYC Programme/Project Award
  4. Chair Excellence in Leadership Award
  5. Student Leader of the Year Award
  6. Champion of Youth Causes Award
  7. Dr. Henry Charles Youth Mentor and Advocate Award
  8. Champion Youth Organization of the Year Award
  9. Overall Caribbean Youth of the Year Award
  10. Most Outstanding National Youth Council of the Year Award

The recognition of these individuals will mark a significant difference in the community. These awards will also celebrate the phenomenal achievements of the Caribbean youth. 

Apart from this, the Caribbean Regional Youth Council also announced the eligibility and criteria for submission of the nominations. 

Eligibility: 

  • The nominated candidate must be a citizen or national of the Caribbean country. The age of the person must be between 15 to 35. 
  • He/She can be nominated in multiple categories
  • People who will submit their nominations will be eligible for Youth Awards. 

How to nominate: 

  • The candidates will have to submit proof of achievement/sample of work (e.g. Pictures, videos, letters, media features). 
  • They will have to submit their papers through their official email. 

The Caribbean Youth Awards is also a part of the Commonwealth Year of Youth. It is also considered the premier voice for Caribbean Youth. 

The Caribbean Regional Youth Council is also celebrating 50 years of youth empowerment through the Commonwealth Youth Program. The program has been taking place at the 10th Commonwealth Ministers Meeting.
