Caribbean Week of Agriculture 2023 set to return in Bahamas, CARICOM countries to participate

Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA 2023) is all set to return to the shores of Bahamas with the “Tradeshow and Expo”.

Bahamas: Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA 2023) is all set to return to the shores of Bahamas with the “Tradeshow and Expo”. The event is slated to be held from October 9 to 13, 2023 under the theme- “Accelerating vision 25 by 2025”.

It is known as the CARICOM region’s largest event in Agriculture which will be held at Breezes Resort and Spa, Nassau, The Bahamas. The registration for the event has ended on August 31, 2023. The government of Bahamas extended initiation call for the farmers, processors and traders.

The expo will outline several new ways of the modern agriculture techniques and tactics to improve the dependence on the local food of the region. The CWA is aimed to promote the business of the farmers so that the locals would be given chance to get flourished.

Besides this, several interactions will be part of the tradeshow and expo. The experts in the event will meet potential local and international buyers and enhance their knowledge for agriculture advancement. The show will also provide them with a chance to increase the boundaries and explore the nature of the customers regarding their product.

The local farmers will be exposed to the international buyers and enhance their network at the global stage.

The Caribbean Week of Agriculture will feature Seminars and several other activities to increase the agriculture opportunities. The show will revolve around the modernization of the agriculture techniques, enhancement of the local farmers, increment of their network and advancement of the food processing.

Several topics will be included in the discussion of the Seminars of the CWA 2023.

  • Animal and Plant Health and Food Safety

The plant and animals are the basic necessity of the food production. The event will outline ways to protect them for the environment and fulfilling agriculture needs. The safety of animals and plants will further increase the safety of the food.

It will enhance the quantity of the food which will decline their dependence on the import of the food. The initiative will ultimately lead to the enhancement of the local farmers and local products.

  • Youth and Women in Agriculture

The agriculture sector will be enhanced with the significant contribution of the young minds of the region. Along side, the contribution of the women in the food production will increase the capabilities of the agriculture sector.

The CWA will also focus on the topic and lay out the ways for the increment of the contribution of young generation and women.

  • Investment Opportunities

Investment plays key role in the success of any sector and agriculture is in the dire need of these opportunities. Farmers should be given these opportunities to make them explore new techniques in the field and advance their techniques.

  • Research, Innovation and Digitization

With the better research, the innovation can be implemented on the place. Further, the ways will also be part of the discussion of the expo for increasing the dependency on the digital world of the agriculture sector.

  • Climate Change

The issue of the climate change is paramount for the safety and security of the citizens. This will also be part of the discussions.

  • Trade Facilitation

The trade sector should be much smoother and effective. The expo will get a chance to outline the ways for it.

  • Water Security

Agriculture needs water at higher pace, but the security of water is paramount for humans’ life. So, the ways of implementing strategic balance between these two things will be the focus point of the discussion.
