Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit greets people with the blessing of Easter through his social media post. He noted, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” – John 11:25-26.
He stated, “May you have a Blessed and Holy Easter with your loved ones.”
In addition to this, Member of Parliament of Roseau Constituency Melissa Skerrit also poured greetings of Easter. She said, “Roseau Central, the Easter Bunny is delivering your Easter Eggs! Parents, don’t forget to have your own Easter Egg Hunt with your little ones tomorrow morning.”

Opposition leader Kamla Persad Bissessar expressed her pleasure on the special eve. While wishing everyone, she stated, “For me, Jesus’ resurrection is a testament that darkness and difficulty are only temporary with God’s grace. Only two days ago, we observed the crucifixion of Jesus. Two days later, on Easter Sunday, we observe the magnificent power of God to turn sorrow into light with the resurrection.”
Further, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Keith Rowley also poured warm blessings on Easter. He said, “I reach out to the Christian community to extend Greetings on behalf of the Government of the Republic, my family and myself as Prime Minister. Easter is one of the most glorious periods in the Christian community. For this community, it is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and a time for the renewal of faith, in his message of love, hope, compassion and forgiveness.”
Prime Minister of St Lucia Philip J Pierre expressed pleasure on the eve of Easter. He noted, “This morning, I joined the parishioners at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marchand for “Way of the Cross” as we commemorated the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
The latter part of my day is being spent working on my first policy statement as Prime Minister for Budget 2022/23, to be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. I do hope that you will join me for this presentation.
Blessed Good Friday, everyone. Have a safe Easter.”
Further, Member of Parliament of Castries and Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire also poured a greeting on Easter.
Ernest Hilaire stated, “Today, I joined the Parishioners and Parish Priest of the St. Benedict Parish to celebrate Easter Sunday Service. Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life. Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won’t stay there. Easter is a time when God turned the inevitability of death into the invincibility of life. He has risen.”
Statement of Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Amor Mottley on Easter:
On this, one of the most solemn weekends on the Christian calendar, characterized not just by pain, suffering and sacrifice Jesus bore on the cross at Calvary, but by the hope of a new beginning that came with His resurrection, I wish to remind us all that we have proven repeatedly that when we stand together, we can conquer any challenge.
There is no denying that our world is currently under tremendous stress, and as a result, our nation is feeling the strain — pressure that filters down to the household. But it is in our homes, in our family units, that the strength of Barbados lies. When a family faces its challenges as one, it is at its strongest. When our nation stands as one, it is unbreakable. The sacrifices we make Today secure the future for all tomorrow!
I wish you and your family a blessed and happy Easter.
On the eve of Easter, Prime Minister Gaston Browne said, “Happy Easter! May this beautiful day be a testimony to God’s love and glory.”
Prime Minister of Grenada Keith Mitchell wishes everyone on the occasion of Easter. He expressed, “Today, as we celebrate Easter Sunday, let us remember the reason for the season – the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the significance of this for those of Christian faith. I pray that we continue to live in love and to be our brother’s keeper. Happy Easter, everyone.”
