Caribbean Airlines resumes weekly flights between Port of Spain and Caracas 

Caribbean Airlines resumed weekly flights between Port of Spain (Trinidad) and Caracas (Venezuela) on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The airlines also hosted a celebration for the resumption of flights at the Caribbean Club Lounge at Piarco, Trinidad.

Caribbean: Caribbean Airlines resumed weekly flights between Port of Spain (Trinidad) and Caracas (Venezuela) on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The airlines also hosted a celebration for the resumption of flights at the Caribbean Club Lounge at Piarco, Trinidad. 

The celebration also featured the keynote address by Venezuelan Ambassador Alvaro Sanchez Cordero in the presence of Senator Richie Sookhai, Caribbean Airlines Management, specially invited guests and customers. Further, a special ribbon cutting was also held during the celebration, where the passengers were given the presentation of tokens in recognition of the momentous occasion.

Along with that, Caribbean Airlines also announced the expansion of its route network to the Eastern Caribbean in the coming months. The airline has been working to grow its trajectory and expand its services to several countries.  Initially, the flights between Trinidad and Caracas will start their services every Saturday, and they are expecting expansion in the frequency of the flight later on. The return from Caracas will be held on the same day.

Speaking at the re-launch event at the Piarco International Airport, the airline’s CEO, Garvin, expressed his pleasure for the resumption of the services and stated that the step will be great assistance in their efforts to expand their network to the Eastern Caribbean. 

He said that the service will increase the connectivity for the passengers between the region and stated that they are excited to meet their requirements. While reiterating his commitment, Garvin said that this is part of their commitment to offering limitless service and improved connectivity. 

“We truly believe that the service will be helpful for the enhancement of the travel experience of the customs and bring several economic benefits to the Caribbean, “said the airlines.  He said that the pandemic has somehow restricted their strategic plans to expand their service to Eastern Caribbean. However, with the acquisition of four new ATRS, the airline is all set to implement its plans and enhance its connectivity in the region.  

Along with that, Álvaro Enrique Sánchez Cordero, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed gratitude to Caribbean Airlines for the resumption of the non-stop flights between Caracas and Trinidad and Tobago. 

Outlining the significance of the service, it said that the service will be a milestone step for the trading relations between the two regions. It will also boost the tourism sector of the two countries and enhance the travel experience of the tourists.
