Caribbean Airlines relaunch “Back- to- School Stationery Drive”

Caribbean Airlines relaunched its “Back-to-School Stationery Drive” for 2023. The drive has returned to the shores of Trinidad and Tobago after a three-year hiatus due to the global pandemic.

Caribbean: Caribbean Airlines relaunched its “Back-to-School Stationery Drive” for 2023. The drive has returned to the shores of Trinidad and Tobago after a three-year hiatus due to the global pandemic.

The aim of the drive is to assist the students, children and provide them much-needed supplies related to their education and school. Throughout the airline’s network, the supplies have been distributed in the schools of Trinidad and Tobago.

Caribbean Airlines lauded the contribution of their staff and said that their generous work paved the path of the success for the drive. It added that their employees encouraged everyone to be part of the drive and make it pivotal success after three years of COVID hiatus.

The organization benefited by the drive are as follows:

  • I Can You Can We Can Foundation
  • Enterprise Community Council
  • North Coast Sports Academy
  • CRCRCDP (Caribbean Respect Campaign and Regionally Community Development Programme)
  • Fairwinds Foundation (Tobago)

While expressing pleasure, the head of Cooperate Communications at Caribbean Airlines- Dionne Ligoure said that the relaunch of the drive allowed them to enhance the collaboration with a number of community-based organization. It provided necessary support to the youths and children in need.

She said that they have reiterated their commitment of assisting the community and its young people who are among the most vulnerable in the society. She added that the drive is one of their several initiatives to positively assist the young generations of the country.

Ligoure also extended gratitude to her colleagues and said that their support played instrumental role in the success of the drive. She noted that this is willingness which makes positive difference in the implementation of the project.

She also expressed proud for their altruistic spirit and readiness for the drive.

Nalini D Lalla, Caribbean Airlines’ General Counsel/Cooperate Secretary and Chairman of the Sustainability Committee said that they are feeling proud with the launch of the drive. She also shed light on their Sustainability Programme which was launched on June 2, 2023. It was the part of their vision of Connecting the Caribbean Seamlessly and Sustainably.

She added that they recognize the importance of assisting those communities who are vulnerable and need the positive support. She said that this support could slightly impact the growth of the young people positively.
