Caribbean: Caribbean Airlines flight BW 526 with service from CJIA (GEO) to JFK has been diverted to Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain (POS). The flight has been diverted due to a medical emergency onboard.

It is now estimated to depart Port of Spain (POS) at 12.10 am to arrive at JFK at 5.30 am. The flight was expected to provide service from Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Guyana to John F Kennedy, America.

Earlier, Caribbean Airlines added extra service from Guyana and announced Welcome Home to more connections from Guyana. The airlines provide service from Guyana to the following countries:

  • Ogle
  • Trinidad
  • Georgetown
  • Barbados
  • New York
  • Toronto

Along with that, for Summer Adventures, Caribbean Airlines announced the flight from Orlando from Barbados, Grenada, Guyana and Suriname with connections via Trinidad. The service were announced for Monday, Wednesday and Friday for May 2023.

Earlier, Caribbean Airlines issued the Travel Alert for June 19, 2023. Miami and Fort Lauderdale disruptions for June 19 due to bad weather. Caribbean Airlines advised that it is currently experiencing flight delays into/out of Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports due to adverse weather conditions in the Florida area.
