Piarco, Trinidad & Tobago: Caribbean Airlines is the “Official Airline of the ISSA GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships“, announced on March 16, 2023. This annual track and field competition is renowned in Jamaica and is the largest high school athletic event in the world.
It is the meeting place from where the best performers go on to compete at the distinguished Penn Relays in the USA. The sponsorship announcement was made at a launch event, at the National Stadium, Kingston, on March 15, 2023, which was attended by Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport, Senator Don Wehby, who is also the CEO of Grace Kennedy and Trudy Chin, General Manager (Ag), Caribbean Airlines, Jamaica.
Caribbean Airlines Chief Executive Officer Garvin Medera stated: “It is a privilege for Caribbean Airlines to join forces with Grace Kennedy and the Jamaica Inter-Secondary School Association as the Official Airline of the ISSA GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships and to host one of Jamaica’s most recognized track and field events in the region.
For 2023, Caribbean Airlines’ campaign theme is “Welcome Home”, and being a sponsor for this major event, which is the starting point at home for many Jamaican athletes, holds special significance for us. Caribbean
Airlines are committed to our role in supporting the communities we serve and wish all athletes success in the competition.”
“CHAMPS” is scheduled to take place from March 28 to April 01 at the National Stadium, Kingston, Jamaica.
The glimpses have shown Fayval Williams, Minister of Education; Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport; Briana Williams, Jamaica Sprinter and Trudy Chin, Jamaica General Manager, Caribbean Airlines.
The launch of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Championships at the National Stadium of Jamaica was held at St Andrew. Champs will be held at the National Stadium of Jamaica between March 28 and April 1 this year
