Highlighting a glimpse of her career, Gabriella noted,” In 2018, I attended numerous careers fairs in the UK, in the hopes of figuring out what I wanted to pursue as a career. It was during these careers fairs that I realized that a legal career was the one for me. I thought to myself, “why don’t we have something like this in Nevis?” I had an idea: let’s have our own”.

She further outlined some decisions of her life and expressed that for years, she put her idea on hold. She was told that an event of this magnitude needed to be hosted by the Government or Ministry of Education. She was told that she was too inexperienced to pull off this event.

Gabriella also extended gratitude to various co-partner to commence the fair and affirmed, “Today, I am pleased to announce that WE pulled off this event. The dream team pulled off this event. My Co-Director, Jahnel Nisbett, pulled off this event. Erin Browne pulled off this event. Shekinah Thomas pulled off this event. Nykeisha Henry pulled off this event. Chris Clarke pulled off this event. Darc Browne pulled off this event. Jaekeeda Thomas pulled off this event. Tyreek Evelyn pulled off this event. Catherine Seabrooks pulled off this event. Cheslin Maloney pulled off this event. So many others too numerous to mention pulled off this event”.

Encouraging the young generation of Nevis, she emphasized the things the young people can do when they work together. She is currently in England preparing for her final year exams, so she could not be present physically.

But, these young people took her dream and made it a reality. They did all the groundwork under the direction of Jahnel Nisbett. Without them, there could be no NYCE, she added.

She further extends and wishes to bless all sponsors and to the participants; thank you. To the students, she hopes they left this fair with a better idea of what they want to pursue than when they entered it.
