Trinidad and Tobago: Opposition leader and Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Kamla Persad Bissessar again bashed the Rowley-led administration and its various policies. Now, she has targeted the Health Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Deyeal Singh and criticized the mismanagement situation of health facilities in the Caribbean country.

While criticizing the Health Minister, Kamla Persad Bissessar noted that poor people are not getting beds and hospitals do not have basic medicine in their pharmacies.

She stated, “While poor people cannot get a bed and basic medicine in the hospital pharmacy, you (Deyalsingh) allowed PNM lawyers to pocket over $37 million dollars. Shame on you.”

Bissessar said that Deyal Singh has allowed the PNM lawyer to pocket over $37 million dollars.

“Tonight I ask you, how come you don’t shed a tear for these poor people that the RHA lawyers fighting down in court and earning millions when the candle could cost more than the funeral,” underlined opposition leader of Trinidad and Tobago.

She further exclaimed that the healthcare in the country has now come into disaster under the PNM. People, especially poor people have suffered a lot due to the poor healthcare system of Trinidad and Tobago.

Bissessar added, “Healthcare in this county has been a disaster under the PNM and Deyalsingh and now we know why. They are more concerned about fattening the pockets of their friends and family than ensuring that the hospital has the proper equipment, beds, and medicine. Shame on you. Shame on all of you.”

She also affirmed that there is more to come on this. they have failed in the Parliament questions for each Ministry to say what the fees were in terms of legal fees and who were the lawyers. Their response was that they have to get the consent of the lawyers.

That is taxpayers’ money you have a duty for public accountability. You think you can get away with it, you will not! We will come at you again – we will use the Freedom of Information Act, you must answer those questions, underscored Kamla Bissessar.Â
