The signing of the agreement was held after the Official Visit of the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame to Barbados on Friday, April 15, 2022.

As part of President Kagame’s Official Visit itinerary, Barbados and the Republic of Rwanda held bilateral talks at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

While expressing pleasure at the meeting, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley noted, “It was a distinct honour to welcome Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, to Ilaro Court, the official residence of the Prime Minister of Barbados where we were able to have a very cordial face to face meeting.”
