Barbados celebrates World Health Day with fun and fitness events

The Barbados Defence Force and Ministry of Health and Wellness have celebrated World Health Day on Thursday, April 7, 2022, with the various colourful events at Independence Square, Bridgetown, from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm. 

Barbados: The Barbados Defence Force and Ministry of Health and Wellness have celebrated World Health Day on Thursday, April 7, 2022, with the various colourful events at Independence Square, Bridgetown, from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm. 

Moreover, various sun and fitness events happened, and residents of Barbados could watch them freely.

Barbados Defence Force stated, “Ministry of Health and Wellness for a 3-hours of fun and fitness at a free event in celebration of World Health Day! at Independence Square, Bridgetown, from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm.”

During the events, there were various fun activities happened and various experts have shared the fitness tip that would facilitate the people of Barbados. They also guide them on how one could remain fit and fine in this busy life. 

They urged the residents to Workout and Move! in support of the Barbados Defence Force’s Annual Charity Virtual Run and Walk. 

Further, in the events, the authorities have called five fitness instructors to get you moving, which includes the sounds of DJ Gerald B as you participate in Tai Chi, line-dancing, aerobics, dancercise, or yoga until the sun goes down.

This year, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has been sponsored by the Barbados Defence Force’s Virtual Charity run/ walk this year in aid of the Precious Touch Foundation inc. as well as the minor survivors of deceased BDF soldiers.

The authorities also claimed that all the protocols related to the deadly viral infection of the novel coronavirus have been remained in place.
