The Dubai Expo 2020 have celebrated Barbados National Day on Saturday, March 25, 2022, at the Barbados Pavilion. At the Expo, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley also addressed the event and outlined the significance and culture of the country.

Barbados: The Dubai Expo 2020 have celebrated Barbados National Day on Saturday, March 25, 2022, at the Barbados Pavilion. At the Expo, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley also addressed the event and outlined the significance and culture of the country.

Various events in the wake of the presentation of the culture of Barbados were held in the Expo 2020. Further, in episode 1 of the event, the ministry of energy and business development business fair and expo held the exhibition on March 25, 2022. The exhibition was held by the Exhibitor Neisha from the Barbados National Trust Ltd, and they explained the BTFL offers to its clients.
Further, Prime Minister Mia Mottley stated that Barbados had shown strong diplomatic relations between the nation and the United Arab Emirates and also created opportunities for Barbadian residents.
While addressing a large gathering on hand for Barbados National Day under the theme of Frome Sugar Cane to Black Chanin at Expo 2020 in Dubai, UAE, Prime Minister Mottley noted that in the tough times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the country decided to produce global citizens with Bajan roots, and we connected with the people across the globe.
“And it is against that backdrop; the country has established embassy here in Abu Dhabi, which will officially open tomorrow. I really hope that with the opening of the embassy and appointment of the Ambassador of Barbados in the country, we will be recognized that the country is serious for building and strengthening great relationships and creating the opportunities for business”, she added.
Mia Mottley also expressed that the partnership between the two countries would ensure a direct airlift between the two countries.
