Barbados: 311 people succumb to COVID infection, with 222 positive cases

A total of 222 people have been exposed to the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Barbados Out of the total cases, 106 cases were male, and 116 were females who have been infected with the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Out of the total confirmed cases of the SARS-CoV-2 infection, a total of 35 positive people were under the age of 18; on the other hand, 187 people were of 18 years and older than 18 in Barbados

As per the Health Laboratory, a total of 99 have been admitted to the isolation facilities over the last 24 hours; on the other hand, 3,116 people have been admitted to home isolation and following the protocols of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On February 21, 2022, a total of 311 people have succumbed to the viral infection of the novel coronavirus in the 24 hours, as per the reports.

The Best-dos Santos Health Laboratory has processed a total of 578,917 samples against the viral infection of the novel coronavirus since February 2020 in Barbados.

Since February 2020, a total of 54,106 people have been exposed to the viral infection of the COVID-19 pandemic out of the total cases. Out of the total positive cases, a total of 25,132 males have been tested positive, while 28,974 females have been tested positive since the pandemic has emerged in Barbados.

As per the statistics of the vaccination programme, a total of 159,869 people have received the first dose of the vaccine against the novel coronavirus so far. This means a total of 70 percent of the eligible population have been vaccinated against the viral infection with the first dose.

A total of 148,993 people have received the second dose of the vaccine against the COVID-19 pandemic and are fully vaccinated. This means that a total of 55 percent have been vaccinated, while 65.2 percent of the eligible people have been immunised with the second dose.
