Antigua and Barbuda: Antigua and Barbuda Art Week exhibitions open at the Boom at Gunpowder House, Admiral’s Inn and V.C. Bird International Airport. Exhibition days are now set to continue through the weekend (ending April 24) at the V.C. Bird International Airport, and until May 8 at The Boom at Gunpowder House.

Other Art Week activities this weekend include: in Antigua Rhythm and Vibes – The Artist Showcase at Ana’s On the Beach Restaurant this Friday evening and Paint, Sip and Eat Greencastle Ranch on Saturday evening

In Barbuda, Sip and Craft with Barbuda Emblem on Friday, Sip and Paint with the celebrities and enjoy the Artist Unite exhibition on Saturday and Sunday.  Artist, Kwame Delfish was out and about in Antigua and Barbuda enjoying Antigua Barbuda art week and engaging with young artists.

Delfish, who is also exhibiting during Antigua and Barbuda Art Week is the first Caribbean-Canadian to design a coin for the Royal Canadian Mint. Delfish, who was born to Antiguan and Montserratian parents, is known in the Afro-Canadian art circle for his work that pays tribute to his Caribbean heritage.

The 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 (Antigua Barbuda Art Week) 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗮’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 ‘𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸’ 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗕𝗦 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

They showcased at ABS Television this evening for an Antigua Barbuda Art Week special ‘Art Talk’ hosted by Natalie Clarke-White in recognition of Antigua and Barbuda Art Week.

The conversation will focus on, the importance of art, the business of art and advancing the orange economy, with guests: Dr. Hazra Medica -Cultural Advisor to the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, Charmaine Benjamin-Werth – Interior Designer, Kwame Delfish – Multi-media artist, Stacie-Ann Shaw – Architect and Fine Artist, Ricki Camacho – Registrar, Antigua and Barbuda Intellectual Property & Commerce Office and Nigel Scotland – Graphic Designer and Multi-media artist.

The Art Week presents, Movies under The Stars: Wednesday April 19, at Garrot Blacks, English Harbour. Event start time: 7:30 p.m. The featured film for the evening will be ‘The Skin’ by independent Caribbean film producers HAMAfilms, Antigua. THIS IS A FREE EVENT

The Art Week is delighted to feature A byZia Production ‘Whispers in Wallings’. Coming via YouTube channel – Petra The Spectator, to you this Wednesday, 6pm.  The Antigua and Barbuda Art Week Exhibition officially opened with the inclusion of the winning art pieces in the Antigua Barbuda ArtWeek School Art Competition. The exhibit runs until April 22, 2023.
