Antigua and Barbuda lifts travel testing requirements for fully vaccinated visitors

As per the new guidelines, the government of the twin-island nation has lifted all travel testing requirements for fully vaccinated visitors to the destinations.

Antigua and Barbuda: In the wake of recording the low number of COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Antigua and Barbuda announced revised COVID-19 travel restrictions for the visitors. The restrictions have come into effect on April 16, 2022.  

As per the new guidelines, the government of the twin-island nation has lifted all travel testing requirements for fully vaccinated visitors to the destinations. 

The government has issued the travel advisory for the Antigua and Barbuda, which is as follows: 

  • People who are fully vaccinated no longer need to present a negative report of PCR/Rapid Antigen Test to get the entry into Antigua and Barbuda, providing they are showing the possible symptoms of infection. So, under this, all the transiting passengers are included. 
  • On the other hand, people who are fully vaccinated but showing symptoms of possible infection are required to submit an RT-PCR test report for SARS-COV-2 after arriving at their own expense. 
  • People who are partially vaccinated or unvaccinated and also British citizens or the residents of Montserrat are permitted to come and land on the twin-island of Antigua and Barbuda and transit via aeroplane from V.C. Bird International Airport to Montserrat. 
  • The passengers under the above-mentioned category will not be allowed to leave the airport before departure
  • People who are vaccinated and minors between the ages of five and eighteen years have to present a negative report of RT-PCR test against the COVID-19 pandemic, which is not more than older than that four days from the date of testing. 
  • Children who are below the age of five do not need to present the negative reports COVID-19 RT-PCR test to get entry into Antigua and Barbuda. 
  • The wearing of face masks in public spaces is still needed throughout Antigua and Barbuda, and the government has also adhered to the people to follow all the guidelines of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as social/physical distancing. 
  • Therefore, passengers have to wear a mask while travelling the country in public spaces and social gatherings such as supermarkets, bars, and clubs. 

Now, the government of Antigua and Barbuda is also permitted to open the entire county, and visitors could also enjoy a range of excursions, attractions, and dining experiences, including restaurants and tours. Further, Beaches are also open, and all the curfew restrictions are also lifted.
