Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority extended New Year wishes and stated that as they kick off the start of 2023, and the launch of Wellness Month in Antigua and Barbuda, they are starting the year with a refreshing mocktail by ABTA’s resident mixologist Donyelle Browne.

Infused with local flavours such as coconut water and ginger, this non-alcoholic drink is the perfect way to stick to those new year goals.

Here’s the recipe, for people to try at home.

  • Pomegranate Refresher Mocktail
  • 2 ounces coconut water or green tea
  • 1 ounce pomegranate juice
  • 0.5 ounce ginger syrup
  • 0.5 ounce lime juice
  • 2 ounces tonic water

Garnish – a lime wheel and sprig of mint or rosemary. Place all ingredients except for the tonic water in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and pour over ice into a rocks glass. Top up with tonic water and garnish with a lime wheel and mint or rosemary sprig.
