Antigua and Barbuda hosts Charity Golf Tournament as part of tourism week 

The Ministry of Tourism and Investment of Antigua and Barbuda hosted a Charity Golf Tournament on Sunday at the Cedar Valley Golf Course as part of the Tourism Week 2022 activities.

Antigua and Barbuda: The Ministry of Tourism and Investment of Antigua and Barbuda hosted a Charity Golf Tournament on Sunday at the Cedar Valley Golf Course as part of the Tourism Week 2022 activities. The event was held on December 4, 2022, from 9: 00 am to 1: 00 pm. 

12 teams comprising tourism partners competed in the friendly Tournament and raised almost 12,000 for the Antigua and Barbuda Industrial Workshop for the Blind.

The 12 Teams were:

  • Blue Waters Hotel and Spa
  • Elite Island Resorts
  • Digicel
  • Ministry of Tourism
  • The Risk Management Broking and Consultancy
  • Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority
  • Automotive Art
  • Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association
  • Cedar Valley Golf Club
  • Sotherby’s Intl Realty Antigua and Subway’

The Ministry of Tourism team comprising Sir Richie Richardson, Orlando Peters and Sylvester “Bouncing” Joseph were the victors in this Tournament.

Sylvester Joseph won closest to line hole #18; Sir Richie Richardson won closest to pin hole #11, while Andrena De La Cruz of the Cedar Valley Golf Club won closest to pin hole #2.

Ruthlyn Mathais and Ebony Edwards of team Risk Management broking and Consultancy won six months of free membership with training at the Cedar Valley Golf Club for being the most honest team.

The Ministry of Tourism and Investment of Antigua asked the people to join the Tournament. At the event, the audience enjoyed the thrilling competition on the course featuring hospitality professionals. 

The Ministry of Tourism of Antigua and Barbuda stated that they enjoyed some of the course fun, with a putting green challenge, scavenger hunt and much more, with prizes to be won.

The event was powered by: Heineken. The food and drink were on sale. The Tournament has benefited the industrial workings. 

The Tourism Authority of Antigua and Barbuda has been hosting Tourism Week 2022 and various events will be occurred. 

The countdown is On for Tourism’s anticipated Culture Event, Taste of Wadadlil. It’s a day of Food, Entertainment and Cricket, and it all kicks off at 11:00 am on December 9 2022, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
