Antigua and Barbuda: The annual back-to-school distribution commenced today at the Cedar Grover Community Center of Antigua and Barbuda. The back-to-school drive will continue tomorrow, August 30th, at the Yorks Community Center from 3 pm and on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, from 4 pm.

This year will mark the ninth (9) year our Parliamentary Representative for St. John’s Rural North, Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez, embarks on this annual back-to-school donation initiative without fail.

Hundreds of families will receive packed school bags complemented with lunch kits, water bottles, exercise or colouring books, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, scientific calculators, geometry sets, flash drives, rulers, and crayons.

In a personalized message to students, MP Fernandez wrote, “Education is your passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today. Always remember, learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere. Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez wishes you a productive, safe, and fun academic year.”

Additionally, the record of investments in refurbishing and completion of buildings such as State Insurance Company Limited Barbuda, John E. St. Luce Finance & Conference Center, The new Industrial Court, Treasury Department, Phase 1 of the Prison Upgrade and Improved performance at the Airport Authority stands second to none.
