Antigua and Barbuda: Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party promised to promote health services, medical schools and wellness for tourism in their manifesto launched for January 18 general elections. 

The next level of progress in the provision of tourism services is medical education, medical services and wellness.

HEALTH EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

The American Medical University of Antigua (AUA) has brought great benefit to Antigua, reflected in the large number of services utilized by the University and its student body. These services include supermarkets, car rental companies, rental of houses and apartments, gas stations, banks, taxis, and a host of retail stores.

There is no doubt that commercial activity has been significantly bolstered by the presence of the AUA students, who are “resident visitors”.
